Not technically a player.
He seems sincere...he just took that 'there's many fish in the ocean so it's a long search to find the one' thing waaaaaaay too seriously so he dates any woman who offers.
And they realize there is nothing there and so THEY dump him. So he's off to search again for the love of his life.
A player just plays the field for the fun of it.

True.
But I saw something like that in Hero Heel and it just fucks everyone up. Unrequited love, trying to move on, getting into a stable relationship but still loving someone else, then honesty starting to fall for the new person, then old love pops up and refuses to let you go...
I'm still not happy with that story.

I agree with you on this. This was a fluff piece. The intention was to understand their conflict prior to the start of what can only be assumed to be that "fated love". The moral of the story, to me, was that if you limit yourself to a type, look or even a gender, you are limiting yourself in finding your one "true love". I have personal experience in this. I'm bisexual, so I didn't limit myself with gender, but I did limit myself to a certain type. For years I had bad relationships. Then, I tried dating someone who was totally NOT my type. We've been happily married for 23 years. Life limits us enough, don't limit yourself too.
Maybe if it were longer I would come to like this but wtf? He's just a player and then the other one just accepts him ? Well whatever.....
