Mermaid melody's manga has always been bad lol.. the anime is so much better, with the songs and filler to characterise bolster it. The author is just really not good with writing. There's too much unreasonable fanservice (for who? The fans? which are 9 yr old girls?) and the art isn't great

No hate to the author.. I love mermaid melody but the anime is what made it shine
