Still like the story, but what's the fucking point ? He was already leave the effing country. You could argue that "he would miss the orphanage", but seeing that it had closed would have been enough. And the emphasis on the "they were commoners" was heavy. This whole backstory seems like some notes they found and they decided to throw it randomly in the plot.
