Eugene’s rashness/recklessness kinda annoys me lol. It’s just the way he would rush into things and think so single mindedly (?) + disregard like the power imbalance between him and his opponent + thinking everything will work out frustrates me. The one chapter where the prince gives himself a handicap and Eugene getting mad and thinking he’s undermining him (I mean he could’ve been but idrk) even tho the prince is like way more experienced than him and he’s legit a newcomer/beginner then. Idk it just annoyed me
I kinda get it tho since he’s like extremely sheltered, in both his first life and this one. Like this one his the youngest son of a powerful noble family + his other life he was literally like trapped in his house and didn’t go outside much. He’s also just a kid so I mean it kinda negated that but idk still rlly frustrated me.
The stories great tho but I wished the pacing was better. Just feels like everything’s coming at me at once. Legit like in the early chapters it was like “ oh no he has this huge handicap and could possibly not even use magic but he overcomes it cuz he’s a genius yay!” To literally fighting a grand duke a couple chapters over. And then like he’s not even adjusted to the school yet but he gets challenged by this extremely powerful character and beats her?? (Tho this one is kinda valid since she technically broke the rules but still) and then fighting these powerful apostles when he’s still a newbie. Now he’s like a semi-god?? It just feels very fast paced, maybe not rushed but it’s like woah what is this. Just a rant/vent comment so no hate tho lol
