It's always laughable seeing a shitty parents redemption arc especially if they're in high position where they can literally use that to help their children properly. It's so funny when they think doing nothing helps their children more bcs it will seem less biased in people's eyes which is bs. It's your child of course you can be biased with them. Instead of bitching about how dangerous "spending your time" with your children, why don't you use your brain to teach them something to protect themselves, that's also involuntary help in building relationships and properly spending time with your children. You can say it's a duty as a candidate successors to learn, like these bitches ah, so stupid

    Also a parallel to real life because I know so many fathers who just never tried with their children, daughters and sons alike

    My uncle has so many unvoiced expectations of his children but he's never asked them once in their lives "how was school" and never taught them any skills/activities in general. Then he goes and gets disappointed, the kids learn everything from school, relatives, their peers alike, none from their absentee parents
