Bruh he doesn't even ask why. Like are you SO CHECKED OUT of the relationship that you couldn't see it coming? And you just accept it? So you.. wasted this person's time and emotions? man from my perspective (someone who's also detached like that) i just don't have the energy to spend persuading someone that what they want to do already shouldn't be done. if they want to end it it's cause they don't want to be with me anymore. why would i ask why when the reason is clear: they don't want this anymore. the only waste of time is trying to make it work with someone who wants to leave. if they want out, it's not my business anymore.

You must be a teenager, because it makes no sense that an adult can't reason about something as basic as that.
If the person is saying they want to break up for that reason and you love them, the right thing to do is fight for them.

nope, not a teenager! you dont know me but this perspective obviously didn't come from nothing. i got tired of people walking all over me, of being the one trying to solve stuff, so now if you want to break up with me there's nothing left to solve. if it's done, it's done. i know it's easy to forget this cause it's the internet, but even if you say this to me with full conviction you can't change how my life is going. this has worked out for me enough im not arguing with strangers over their attachment models :) have a great day and please be more civil next time, okay?

also, i do understand your frustrations at me cause im bringing up a point you don't agree with and don't really want to understand. remember this is all about a story and arguing with people isn't gonna change what's happening in the story. i think you should keep reading and find out what happens to nathan in the story, or don't and keep refusing to empathize with people's perspectives. im sure you didn't mean to sound offensive, and im not angry at you or your comment.

Not taking care of your partner is a form of abuse.
Take care of yourself before causing trauma in other people's lives.
That was the message and that's what I've been saying from the beginning.
If a person wants to break up just for that reason, the right thing to do is for you to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND TRY TO CHANGE BEFORE MAKING MORE PEOPLE WASTE THEIR TIME IN THIS MEANINGLESS RELATIONSHIP.
