It’s definitely a cheap cop out. You do all this just to tell us everyone was brainwashed? It’s so cheap and annoying. Let people be assholes. Let that be her origin story. Let that be the cause of why she’s fighting so hard. Even when everyone is against her she still manages to fight for her freedom and people to call family.
