Considering he said he had terminal illness 40yrs ago, I feel like he came to Korea for his bucket list, met Hyeonji and had a short relationship/ONS, when they went back home for further treatment. Knowing American healthcare system, he was probably working his butt off since then to pay off his medical debts and make enough money to travel back to Korea to meet her.

Well I still don’t give a shit!! They better tell us what took him so long to come find his kid, a good excuse would be he didn’t know he existed until recently!!!
