They probably didn't say "she", Korean dialogue doesn't have specific she/he words so it probably said something more along the lines of "they"

I wonder if Sian is just straight up lying about his crush being a girl, (it's pretty obvious he was talking abt Olive's brother there) or if it's one of those "I thought he was a girl at first but even after I found out he was a guy, I still liked him"-kind of tropes.
