I was so wondering about that. It popped into my mind as soon as black-haired said something about not seeing the mom and not being in the house since middle school. And if she’s not a corpse, then she left him in middle school bc he was so weird and “not normal”, but maybe sends him money bc she doesn’t want to completely abandon him.
