Also I'm assuming he's a devil because apart from the clearly devil-like shadow, the hair like things(?) that's wrapped around him looks more like it's restraining him rather than it being a part of him. The long tongue as well, that's usually how demons are portrayed. Plus, devils are known for tempting their victims when they're vulnerable. That's why we say "fighting your demons" when you're going through hard times
Honestly? slay. It's very devil-like of him to take the form of a God just to drag down a believer. Not just that, using that believer's fear and loneliness to drag another one in. The devil's bargain is hard to ignore, especially for someone who's already deep down their sorrow and self-blame. This is an absolute slay. It's sacrilegious but I like how the story was portrayed. Very well done especially with just 4 chapters.
