yall they're telling the truth, but they didn't get it from the novel. their separation was mentioned in the literal official manhwa description in korean on naver.
here's the description in kr for those who're curious: 극과 극의 둘. 서로 달라서 끌리고 너무 달라서 미웠다. 고등학생, 대학생, 그리고 사회인이 되어 세 번의 만남과 이별을 하는 두 사람의 여름 이야기.인연일까, 악연일까.
and here's machine translation: Two polar opposites. They're drawn together because they're different, and they're so different that they hate each other. This summer story of two people meeting and parting three times as high school students, college students, and then working adults. Is it fate, or is it a fateful one?

ahh, now it kinda makes sense why the reconciliation was so easy then, the author had to, so it can proceed to the next break up scene then make up, then break up again. I'm assuming they want to keep readers on edge, wondering if they'll actually end up together in the finale (most probably will anyway). I'm intrigued how the author will pull it, thanks for sharing the excerpt.

Yes, what @fenisme said. Thanks for sharing. It’s not a fan theory and there in no novel (i wish there was). The original summary mentioned them separating 3 times. It was updated to the new summary afterwards which does not mention any of this. I hope that means that the og summary was a lie. The author also has a knack for rushing the end part good endings and keeping angst for rest of the story so that concerns me as well….
Another thing is, if they separate twice more, i hope it’s not the trope of one literally getting married and they meet as old people because that would mean that they have no character growth, too much angst and incredibly terrible communication skills. I am getting paranoid for no reason hopefully ╥﹏╥
They will separate two more times after this and I truly cannot enjoy this comic knowing two more separations and angst are left even though this chapter was so sweet (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
