I dont care he loves her, he is still immature , childish and cannot give her a right and straight answer as a king and is always moved around based on others words, he doesn’t even trust or believe the fl and he always let the other saint cling to him and gives her more time. I honestly don’t care about the king feelings at all because if in 6 years he never had the courage to visit her room but he can enters the other saint for tea. Alright and he never even bothers to solve things instantly even though he is the rightful strongest ruler as a king.
