I didn't know it was a self biography until he talked about his first manga and I think is the bravest he ever did. I think its important to not misjudge people like the world is black and white, people are not perfect and the way he reflects on his on wrong approach to how he deal with such big pain in his life is very sincere and very well done, not all people reacts and acts on the same way to trauma and grief, there's no "right" way to it, and it's not "dealt with", is a journey that he himself describes in his work, with a lot of mistakes on the way. I as well was thinking it would be all about hes brother, like a more simple homage but its very brilliantly made about the complexity of love and grief (which is a homage too), the impact that he had on him that made the story go to consequences and how it impacted the author, but does the lack of the "muse"of the story aways on sight makes it less about him? Was it made so we can feel how its like to not have someone important to us with us? Like, when you try to recall something and grasp that impact in a way, does it make the dead ones less when is just a memory and they are not physicaly in frame? even if is a "sordid" way of understanding himself, Does it make it less because it's not "good and beautiful "? anyway, until now, brilliant displayed and conveyed.
