this is genuinely one of, if not, the best beastfolk stories i’ve read in a while. Tbh I usually avoid them bc they usually have SA or rape, or just a lot of nonconsensual stuff (this is also true for omegaverses). But this one is so fluffy and the ML is so kind Also another thing i thought was great about this was the dynamic Yui had with the two. I feel like in most beastfolk & omegaverses, once there’s a kid involved it always almost ends up being relationship over family, and i never liked it. Most stories usually just have a kid on a whim without prior research or interest, or “the dad that stepped up” type thing and it always came off as ignorant to me. Like yes at the end of the day it is a yaoi and it’s going to be smut centered, but as someone who is an overthinker as much as they are a goonette, i can’t help but think they are parents before being a couple. That’s why i think these two did an amazing job at breaking these “stereotypes”. Sure they did have their alone time but it always balanced and always teetered towards their time as a family.
