Oh, I'm not saying they're not lmaoo Trust me, I've acknowledged before that this author has a thing for torture porn. It's just that BJ Alex didn't have it go so far that the redemption of the ML didn't give you whiplash.
We who read BL are no stranger to toxic shit, as you already know, but JK had too many chances to not be an asshat. But now I'm supposed to root for JK and Dan...because the story needs to end on a happy note? Nah, slap a sticker and send it back - express shipping
Yeah, I'm not changing my rating. This is a shit show that is trying to turn itself into a typical love story. At this point, I'm disillusioned; like a "Meh, let's just finish it up"
On the other hand, I'm genuinely glad for the people who were able to see past the copious amount of hot dog water that was the first arc of this story. I hope y'all get your lovey-dovey happy ending.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go read BJ Alex again to get a story that actually has a *plausible* redemption arc
