I have 2 theories because I care about Bada and I'm delusional:
1. Bada isn't an NPC at all. He played the game before everyone else and has somewhat stopped being a playable character, maybe by finding a special ending xD He lost all memories of the game but developed trauma from it so he feels sketchy vibes from the playable map and warns the others. I've been thinking, what if they find out another well hidden tape that Bada used, the same way Yongtaek miraculously found out that he had a previous tape hidden in the mines? Also, some things don't add up. How could an NPC who only exists as data and pixels feel emotions, physical pain and such, if they're not human to begin with? I also think that if an NPC were to save, it is considered as a bug, and that bug can't possibly lead them to get emotional, be aware of things... Bada's chara design is also too special for him to just be an NPC that warns the others and then say goodbye. Even his name has a interesting meaning.
2. Everyone there is an artificial intelligence that believe they're human beings trapped in a game. Know of DDLC? They're the same as Monika, not the other 3 girls. They are enough developed for them to act as if they were human. To me it explains why they could maintain their everyday act, repeating the same lines, or why every time someone's tape gets messed with, they feel like NPCS. They don't do weird bugs such as saying nonsensical lines or killing someone out of nowhere (don't mention Doha) because their codes are well developed.

I just don't want Bada to be alone or the misfit.
