Not as good as it looked…

Title of post kinda summarizes it all. I’m just gonna dump my thoughts here.

Started off pretty interesting and good, I love me a yearning top in a fantasy setting. It started off with a pretty light hearted vibe so i thought it would stay that way but then the story attempted to dive into a darker, more dramatic theme. Keyword being ATTEMPTED. I feel like the story try to pursue topics that were pretty serious such as literally murdering kin and showcase centuries of drama of all of these hot vampires. However, I literally couldn’t take it seriously because as Minhoon literally said about all these vampires when Elian asked for his opinion, they are fucking children. They act like children they are immature.

Also, I wish they expanded more on Minhoon and Hyunwoo’s background in high school relationships. It showed that they were really close yet I couldn’t see why the two were in love with each other. I felt like we were just thrown into the current starting setting of the story, and they kinda had to quickly add a backstory on how all these characters knew each other and drew a few scenes for the high school. It just felt really random and undeveloped my opinion. This also extends to everyone’s relationships outside of the main characters in the story. What about Minhoon and Gumchan’s parents? Do they not have parents? They’re suddenly immortal, and it doesn’t seem to be like a problem to them because they all apparently seem to be orphans or something. I feel like if you become immortal or vampire this is something you should probably tell your parents if you’ve lived your life for the past 20 years as a human. Another thing is, I think it’s really funny that Hyunwoo was pictured as a general salary man working in an office environment and all of a sudden one day he has to protect Minhoon and just doesn’t work there anymore. There was literally a few scenes of him talking to his coworkers and then he never show up again and no one questions it? Overall, I feel like there was just no general world building or logic put into the background besides the main characters Which makes this all feel very underdeveloped.

Hyunwoo is also really traumatized from his dad killing all of his kin choices so you would think that he’d be way more careful when it comes to creating a new one. I just can’t fathom that he would get so drunk and then accidentally turned Minhoon into one. I feel like that’s a mistake that you just can’t make if you’re so traumatized regarding your kin.

Lastly, why does this have anything to deal with actors and the entertainment industry? I mean I guess you could also say why not but I feel like this definitely takes away from the whole seriousness of the plot that they were trying to go for.

Anyways, that’s my rant/review. If there’s any typos, it’s because I am using text to speech because I am fucking lazy. There were so much to talk about so much to point out that that’s wrong with the story that it’s just faster to say it then to type it.
