Could've been a good angst.

Am I the only one who wishes the series should've been longer/more in-depth? Of course, Jaehee asking Yoo-ahn to call him mom as a kid was fucked up, even if it was just for a day, coz kids DEFINITELY shouldn't be involved. While it's not like Yoo-ahn was the center of his desire, it's VERY MUCH wrong of Jaehee involve Yoo-ahn and jack off his parents' bedroom :/

I also do think that Yoo-ahn crushing on Jaehee was weird, probably because I saw it as something unrealistic. Like, who falls for an older person as a CHILD just because he was kind to you? And not forget about it as you grow up? That's something, ig.

I do like the fact that Jaehee distanced himself the moment he realized he was going too far, even if it was a little bit too late. This is the part where I wish they expanded on coz to me it was clear that he was somewhat depressed and only functions as necessary. He didn't even smile anymore.

In a sense, Jeong was his everything (ideally ofc people should try to move on). He loved him for probably more than a decade, and didn't get the proper closure of rejection because he never got to confess. There was probably also some underlying fear that their friendship would get ruined if he did. He also supported Jeong since high school, and even became his editor at one point.

Another part where I wish they included was Jaehee's thoughts when Yoo-ahn kissed him for the first time. It was shown that Jaehee too numb to push him away, but it would be nice to know his thought process because Yoo-ahn was Jeong's child, and he took care of him when he was young, too. Usually, people like Jaehee wouldn't even see Yoo-ahn as an adult because they literally changed their diapers.

It was also wrong of Yoo-ahn to push his feelings on Jaehee, especially the blackmail part. Although I think it wasn't explicitly stated until the talk with Jeong in the cafe. And the part where Yoo-ahn was rejecting a classmate also felt surface-level. I wish they went more in-depth with just how deep Yoo-ahn's feelings were with Jaehee.

Also wish that the last chapter was Jaehee distancing himself again, coz I'd imagine it would be very tiring (and liberating) to be rejected by someone you loved for a veeeery long time, only to be pursued by his son. And having time to regain himself would be nice.

And ofc, the special episode isn't impactful as it could've been because of how short the overall story was. IT LITERALLY FEELS LIKE THE DAY AFTER THE TALK WITH JEONG (it's not). I wish there were also more chapters on Yoo-ahn pursuing Jaehee.

TLDR: I wish they expanded on Jaehee's depression arc, went more in-depth with Yoo-ahn's feelings, and chasing arc(?) for Yoo-ahn. Also wish that Jaehee rejects Yoo-ahn (coz he just got rejected by Jeong after 10+ years of loving him)
