You know, sometimes.. i kinda think that the core of problem is actually the mother herself.
She doesnt want him to know she get a cursed and left him for "his sake", creating the whole drama of misunderstanding up till he hates his own feeling and sealed it away. I dont really blame him that suddenly out of nowhere a girl came and said that shes his daughter and the woman that "betrayed" him, i would doubt and hate it too. Also the mother fully known that shes getting preggo with halved of human blood and knew how her family will treat her children later...she stii left it there...
