From my perspective, at least up until the recent chapters, he seems to be the opposite of a red flag. If I recall correctly, his “role” has just been to go along with things and be present. He comes across as someone who just goes with the flow to avoid causing trouble for anyone especially the ml and the bottom. The only recent exception is justified because the bottom instigated it first
