EXACTLYYYY ive seen so many people who are quick to point fingers at juheon like are we fr rn cause in the first place, dohu doesn’t know how to communicate and its only right for juheon to feel upset for being betrayed by someone he trusted, but I can’t blame dohu completely cause its not like he ever knew how to communicate well. If im being honest, ur completely right and it’s not a matter of who did the worse thing. It’s a matter of their past traumas and experiences affecting their relationship as a whole
I notice this phenomena quite often in many romance, that every time there is a fight, people are quick to point fingers at who is to blame. It doesn't help that plenty of them tend to have clear right and wrong sides, so it's easy to pick sides.
This story deserves better than that. While the truth may have been the catalyst to their break up, it's clear that their deep rooted emotional trauma is the real cause to their problems. While the two have very different personalities, they both went through rather similar childhood - being isolated and bullied. One chose to repress all their emotions and put up a front, while the other copes by ignoring everything.
It's ironic that the reason why the two were drawn to each other to begin with has now become the reason why they are apart. Juheon is drawn to Dohu's ability to ignore everything and be himself, while Dohu is drawn to Juheon's sensitivity and repressed emotions, one that he himself has but unable to express.
A lot of people blamed on miscommunication, a very common pitfall to many romance, but here it's not only a valid excuse, it's also the core issues of their personalities. It's easy to say, just talk, but their trauma won't go away. The problem will come back if both of them don't resolve the main issue - Juheon's inability to trust people and Dohu's inability to express himself. It will always come to haunt them without serious character development.
In short, this isn't about who is right or wrong. A good story such as this shouldn't be reduced to black and white.
