And JJK's a good eyes for clothing but he adapted too quickly to his new life. He was someone who was desesperate to leave behind his past and bad memories, to improve himself, to never go unfeed or unclothed, that he forgot not everyone is like him. Dan's clings to his own past because even if there's suffering, having his grandma by his side made it all better. So it's a natural reaction that he got so upset when JJK wanted to get rid of his old clothes. Also, he didn't knew but neither asked. Still, a good intention and it feels this is building to a big and important moment. He's gonna apologize hard someday. I feel it.
