Mother & Father

I haven't read the novel and have only read spoilers from here and novelupdates.

People here are saying the MC's bio mom was an abuser and forced herself on the father but on the other site they said that the father was drugged and the mother was drunk.

The imperial family wanted to bring down the reputation of the father because it was too high (probably threatening their position too). The mother was also of noble blood from a fallen nation, a high priest with some powers that activates with a song. So the MC's birth and eventual marriage into the imperial family was a bonus.

Also the adopted mom didn't ask the father for divorce when he brought the MC to their home. She only did so when she found out how the MC was being treated. She wanted him to treat MC like her legitimate children but he refused. She started to see him as a monster and asked for divorce then.

It's all his fault and he keeps blaming the child for it. I'm not sure which is the true spoiler but regardless, he's trash. He shouldn't have treated a child like that. The oldest brother took, they can all burn in hell
