ch 46 churros

One of my regrets in life is I didn't get to try churros when I went abroad to Miami for some time. Saw a lady selling churros in paper bags on the stop sign on the streets, but somehow kid me back then didn't seem to be interested despite it being a dessert.

Thankfully recipes are there on YouTube, but it's also a little sad that I couldn't get to experience the taste in its authenticity.

Churros were created in Spain, though, not Miami, FL. You can find churros in Portugal as well as Spain, too. Those churros are as about as “authentic” as you can get.

Sorry, I accidentally pressed enter and did not complete the sentence. Since most people there are Spanish I thought I could get an authentic taste there too.

Actually, quite a number of “Spanish” (actually Latino/Hispanic) people in Florida are actually descendants of people from Cuba. 60% of Miami residents are of Cuban descent as of a 2024 census, which I find interesting (because I have a friend around there who is also of that lineage).
