I love how the adults are trying to stop the kids from doing all the dangerous work. Usually in these stories the mc as kids do all the work while the adults sit around doing nothing. Like the brothers want their younger siblings to put the trust in them and let them handle the problems while they should live as kids. Even if they’re both original 18/17, rn their kids, who had their childhood stolen by their scheming mothers.
If it weren’t for Alicia and Rosian meddling and keeping their kids away, Valerie and Maximilian could have had a loving family with the rest of the royal family. I mean Empress Dowager cares a lot about them, even if they’re both children of her husband’s concubines.
