in the first life there's a lot of people disguising as her so of course they can't just trust anyone + she lack the power which make the emperor and her brother can't accept her because that piece of shit of a child and her mother successfully stole her spirit power. Him and his son's reaction are completely realistic because if that happen in real life no one will actually know what to believe and he's actually confirmed to be under some kind of spell made by that potato red hair btch
Didn’t they know MC had some powers though? Like that’s why she was even allowed in the palace, then once the redheads took every ounce of her power from her and she became powerless then the king and prince fully abandoned her and locked her up in that mirror.
So I don’t think he really deserves a redemption arc… Maybe if it results in overwhelming guilt/grief and his death. Like it’s not like he was never fully unaware of the queens evil nature and that the red hair princess was never his actual daughter.
What I really want to know is that given the nature of the royal family’s power they knew the red haired princess is a fake, so why coddle her so much, and take their side? Like why never question where she’s getting these powers from?
I hope he continues to be haunted by that ghost of MC’s past. His incompetence at her expense is just unforgivable. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Okay this is my opinion but I legit hate the emperor because of the first life. Like how are you gonna deny your daughter because she doesn't have as much power as she should when she OBVIOUSLY LOOKS LIKE YOUR FUCKING WIFE. Sighhhhhhhh. Like I genuinely cannot come to like him. Each time she smiles at him a boiling rage from deep inside my heart seeps out and I turn into Satan on earth. Genuinely do not like that man and cannot wait till she gets ALLL her memories so she can at least hate him
