I’ve been thinking about why Minamoto (mind reader) barely gets real contact with MC. Thinking from the author’s point of view, logically, it makes sense to draw more moments between Hatano and MC, since there is much less permanent impact on the story. No matter what happens between Hatano and MC, there will never be actual progress because Hatano is not an adult. Whereas if MC and Minamoto start interacting more, the progress in their r/s can’t be stopped.
