He chose to be hated than to make her suffer with him. He didn't know that they have a baby. If he said that he's sick, she would've gone to a country whose language she doesn't speak, take care of a man mostly a shell of who he was, and also a baby. I understand where he's coming from. But, just like Ho indirectly said. Maybe, she would also be happy even if she had to do all that. As they said, "In another life, I would really like just doing laundry and taxes with you."

    yes. and maybe, I could write all of this because I have never really known to be what it's like to be at the shoes of a relative who became the caregiver and probably suffer caregiver burnout. We would never know.
