I think parents trust will always be higher than strangers but lower than friends. They raised you from day 1 and it's hard to let go of passed mistakes biases. That's why you have parent doctors but your parent doesn't trust being a good one
At first, I wondered, "Shouldn't parents' trust be at 100%, or close to it, from the get-go?" Then I remembered my childhood, and all the shenanigans I got up to. And then I remembered my teenage years... if my parents' trust reached 50%, I would be shocked.
