The only selfish thing he did, imo, is he didnt explain why he left. Other than that, I disagree. Knowing Haeonji, she would have stayed, and it would be a miserable experience. Being a caregiver takes huge toll on you.
Him leaving was the better decision, since she's also with child. Just wished he gave her closure instead of leaving her to dry.

Tbh his dad leave her out of his selfishness not bcz love. Hiding something like that from your partner bcz u think it's good for them is a selfish thing and show u only care about your OWN feeling not your partner.
She is died without knowing truth and imagine what she think about the reason he leaves her suddenly, she must think he don't want her anymore and leave and coming back to his own country. It's basically HELL. It's never be a good thing to decide for someone else all by yourself especially if that person is your partner, they deserve to know truth and they deserve to have a freedom to CHOOSE if they want to stay with you or not.
The funniest things is he is not even regrets about his selfish decision...
