I'm starting to understand his family situation.
Mom and Dad pushed them to their extreme, that's why the older looks like a walking zombie. They made the two believed that theh have to be a "busy person" to have a place in the family, that nose bleeds were normal and just a sign of hardwork.
Now the older, being brainier and the one who carried the direct force of this abuse, decided to mold a specific path for his younger brother. He will work so hard until he can support the MC, move him away from their parents and let him continue his "blissful" life.
But what he didn't understand was, MC's life was never blissful. Not knowing what's happening doesn't shield him from the abuse. The path that the older brother was trying to create for him was isolating him in the process.
So MC ran away the moment his taekwondo dreams crashed, because that's became his whole personality and his reason to stay in the family, without that, he doesn't feel like he belongs in that place.
They are both just kids who made adult choices.
The difference was the older brother thought that he was helping his brother by doing the exact opposite of his parent's ways not knowing that he's becoming just like them, forcing MC to follow his plans and not telling him any shit.
And MC was right to run away, but he didn't do it because he wants to save himself, he did it because he didn't fit in anymore.
