If Rosa has a tendency to throw away things she likes, then she probably threw away her friendship with the orphan boytoy. mother meets him one day, picks him up and plants him in the house, to mess with Rosa psychologically. Now there's something she can't have around her all the time. Not only that, but she also feels isolated from her mom because of this incident. Her mom has to be doing this to distress Rosa on purpose....but I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHYY
such a guilty pleasure lol. honestly, the mother and daughter seemed to be close before, so it really doesn't make sense why her mom would do this kind of sabotage. however, there have been many stories of mothers being jealous of their daughters and manipulating them in an indirect way. I think maybe the mother is aware of her daughter's inner daddy issues and trying to bring about some kind of revelation? even in the way she speaks, she seems to prioritize Rosa...
