The top is a beta and I also don’t remember if he can smell pheromones or just sense it. But anyways the top is in love with the bottom but he’s pushing the bottom away because the bottom is only dating him and doing what the top wants because the bottom doesn’t want him to move out (he was going to move out bc the bottom didn’t reciprocate his romantic feelings). The bottom is like hella codependent on the top and doesn’t want his only “family” to leave/abandon him. I hope this makes sense! Sorry if it doesn’t, I tried!
