I feel like ppl dont know that many nobles used to "adopt" sons before if they didnt have biological ones and make them marry their daughters just so they could still secure their family line. If not in reality, it's a common theme in fiction. It's not incest especially if they didnt even grow up together. The point of incest has always been because of the imbalance of power and succeeding psychological trauma. Idk when it has devolved into smth so shallow.
