It's more normal to refuse someone's confession/statement of dating when you don't like them and like someone else
some ppl genuinely just can’t do that i do hope he tells her soon but like he was pressured into this by everyone around him it’s not that easy to say no in such circumstances
I seriously doubt he's just not going to tell her. We're super early in the story still, and itseems more like he's just collecting his thoughts and needs someone to talk it through with BEFORE talking to Sarah. It's better than just saying whatever comes to mind on an anxious whim because you didn't think about what you were gonna say or how to say it.
