Not immortal per se. I think it was mentioned that people who possessed vast amount of magic power tend to live longer, its kinda like an idea of their 'time' or aging going slower compared to normal humans. That's how Lucas look young even after hundreds of years (he was already adult in appearance during Aethernitas,the villain and predecessor of Obelian family, orig. time) Also explains how Claude has an eternal baby face and why creator had to adjust Athy's style to look younger than her age cos it would seem that they look more like siblings rather than father-daughter
