The ending for teo and astina was not it. Half of the story focused on the emperor and how she can't love teo as well as teo not trusting what she feels because he looks like her past lover. The fast forward to the last few chapters, suddenly with just one talk, they reconciled and teo trusted her loving him for who he really is? The story started so so so very well but they just have drag the freaking plot of "I can't love you because I love my past lover and you have his face" There was a lot of angst scenes but it was stagnant, everytime they cried or fight it was the same damn thing, the plot was not moving. If there was just a period of slow progress on there relationship and how they tried to build it back to where it was then the ending of them truly loving each other would be believable. Instead of cramming their reconciliation on last few chapters. Heck even the last chapter didnt focused on the main couple they had a couple of panels and that's it. I know I'm just blabbing and repeating what I'm saying but its just a let down, as a reader it doesnt feel that the story truly shown that astina is truly in love now with teo. There was no progress or slow changes on how she acted bjt then suddenly she told her, astina will love teo and martina loved the emperor. She is the same person so that means teo will never be loved fully, he will always have a roomate in astina's heart and since teo fully devote himself to her that's just unfair and painful watching as a reader. This shitty plot of the TOTGA emperor should have been resolved in the middle of the story and then the end should have focused on the fight with primo thingy because everything was cramped at end. Ughhh I'm just ranting now so I'll stop but I genuinely want to cry because I really found this story so so so great when I first read it so I marinated it. The story about all the women character was so fucking great. They we're a great representation of feminism because they are not made like a robot who's perfect not like other stories. They we're different kinds of independent women who also have flaws. But the love story really was a let down I truly am sad for the way it ended. Also the cousin and astina's knight had some love tension but they didn't explore on that. There are so many things they left out. Just thinking about the chapters in the middle of the story that was wasted. Okay I'll really stop now cause I'll cry if I don't. Please don't think Im bashing, I genuinely love the characters and all that's why I'm so sad how the story ended up.
