They didn't know each other before the events shown, and the MC had been gang raped twice in total,once in his school days by his classmates and again by the ml and others orchestrated by the ugly ass old man. He's impotent by birth so he doesn't join but he enjoys watching him getting gangraped,it was in his order that the gangrape happens infact by his underlings military soldiers and the ml. He had done this with other victims before as well. The ml will kill the old man at the end of the novel. At the very end, the ML says he's sorry and sheds two tears, and the MC, having developed Stockholm syndrome and fallen in love with him, ends up forgiving him.
