yeah I thought it was just me, but some scenes are so unnecessary. taekjoo is obviously
just doing what he can to survive and zhenya is just exploiting him

i read the novel and i still didn't really get it.

taekjoo for the longest time just wanted zhenya to finally lose interest in him, so that he could finally get away from him. but i guess at some point the stockholm syndrom hits so hard, that he starts enjoying his time with zhenya
