I also thought I'd drop it around chapter 15-20. It gets hard. But I just made it to the end. And this story, is a hard read, because war is a difficult thing. And so is PTSD, miscarriages, and emotional abuse, depression, overall mental health. But it's beautiful. You cry you learn, you live. And if anything is meant for you, it will come to you in the end. They're both hurting. They both learn and grow from it.

He's changing but they made him his enemy...since he's already changed to a sane fuckung person. He's literally seeing illusion of himself being happy about the situation.
