Hmm well as I read it they both had some sort of crush on each other during army time, mc used to look out for ml maybe that's why and I can't blame mc for crushing over the pretty ml and when thy both were drunk mc tried to kiss him.. and ml punched him to back off (if my memory is serving me right) and that's why mc gave up on him and well later since ml did have a crush in him and he thought mc is cheating he said why not with me. Although I'll agree with u some things are not properly explained or maybe it's because I read a chapter a week so I forget some details.
My biggest complaint is that in the time I’ve spent with the both of them the comments about them having a miscommunication is funny because honestly I still don’t get why they even like each other I don’t think it’s explained that well idk and I don’t know if the miscommunication is the side effect or the cause of that feeling for me usually I love having a work aspect with my bl but it only serves to bore me really but I do wonder how this will end
