I disagree it follows the novel quite closely. If it is too slow for you then you are looking more of smut story
I'm sorry, but what do you mean when you say it has storyline that don't fit with the original plot?
Everything that Etienne is doing is to garner enough power to where his mother can longer be a threat. Solving unsolved, continued crimes among the civilians, rooting out her most loyal followers in the nobility and outing them as criminals-- this is all in service of the main plot which is to overthrow her and live the life he wants.
Where exactly is the manhwa going astray? You can't just say whatever and not provide evidence, expecting people to just believe you lol
This story started off so good. Now it’s just exhaustingly slow. Every time you think it’s finally picking up and getting back to the original plot it goes off into another direction just to slow down again and start another storyline that has nothing to do with the original plot. I just can’t take it anymore. The art is nice tho.
