i've been thinking the same thing, realistically no one would give a shit about two gay white dudes in nyc, especially if one is studying drama but i think the author is korean so i'm guessing that's why lol
Homophobia is still rampant. Specially in Trump's America. People still get hate crimed. Luke is doing theater to go into acting. Have you ever heard of a publicly gay actor debuting? They always come out after they have debuted and got famous. It's hard to survive in the industry if you are already out. The stakes are high.
I'm confused by the stakes here. It looks like they're 2 white dudes going to school in NYC and Luke is in drama.. it'd be more confusing if he wasn't gay, like why are we hiding?
