She didn't have his nor her son's permission to run a paternity test (because I don't see the prosecutor caring about doing one when he gets what he wants by marrying.) Because the newborn cannot consent, it has to come from the parents, confirmed and not confirmed.
Or at least, if Korea has something like HIPAA over there. You would need to go through court if you couldn't convince the parents, which she would know as a lawyer.
I don't know. She definitely has been painted as a crappy and controlling mother who didn't bother getting to know her son and has formed the view that he's just trouble to her. This just pushes her deeper into being a Karen.
