Yigeon didn't initially trust and 'forgive' him because he just wanna just to spite Taekang. He has a problem with trust because Taekang just prove to him that he'll deny and abandon Yigeon the moment Yigeon stand on his way. Taekang may realized and admit his attraction to him for now, but later?
Who can guarantee Taekang won't ever abandoned Yigeon when once again Yigeon become a liability to him?
We reader might believe Taekang won't ever as he is a character determined to be Yigeon's end game. Author will surely made Taekang a loyal to be deserved in that relationship. But for Yigeon, he view Taekang as a real person. He was painfully hurt once, there's no absolute guarantee he won't be hurt next. I love how the author didn't make Yigeon a hopeless romantic.
