Ofc this cunt goes back to the WORST option when he had the perfect green flag right in Front of him. I'm dropping it after reading some spoilers. Not surprised this author can't write, this is some Colleen Hoover level type shit

What Colleen Hoover? May I know the title of that story?

Both of the possible love interests were toxic, sure the white hair was significantly nicer and had some puppy-like behaviour a lot of the time, but that doesn't make him a green flag at all. He's super toxic levels of obsessed and pushy too, even if he's the healthier choice in comparison.

Just because eating fastfood from McDonald's is healthier than smoking cigarettes, doesn't mean the McDonald's fastfood is any healthy. It's just the less bad option.

They were "fated mates" I understand why he was like that. What I don't understand is why even add fated mates if ur going to ignore it all together and completely sideline the character for the rest of the series,
He IS a green flag, he wanted to be with the person who was his literal destiny, and I wouldn't call him obsessed??? Clingy sure

This might sound sexist but as a man I can relate. We usually go for the red flag. I know I do lol.

Both love interests have scenes where they push the MC into sex he doesn't want or to do more sex than he's comfortable with, heck this guy you call a "green flag" fucked the MC until the MC passed out despite the MC telling him to stop.

I'm sorry but no, he is by no means a green flag, if you think he is, then you've been consuming too much toxic yaoi. (Not judging btw)

The white hair is literally a 6 piece chicken MC Nuggets amongst cigarettes (red flag MLs), cigars (red flag MLs) and drugs (black flag MLs) being praised for how healthy he is despite being unhealthy just because he's significantly less unhealthy than what he's being compared to...

As for the fated mate thing; I actually like the concept of two characters not having to necessarily end up together just because they're gated mates. I've already seen omegaverse stories about an omega bonding with someone else before they found their fated mate and being super happy with the relationship leaving the fated mate alpha having to come to terms with having to give up on his fated mate, which was a great read. This is the second story I came across where the fated mates won't be endgame and honestly? I loved how he MC rejected him simply bc he didn't feel romantically in love with him and didn't want to be together purely bc they're gated mates. Sure I prefer the white hair over the black hair too, but the concept of someone simply just not developing romantic feelings for their fated mate and not wanting to jump into the relationship just because they're fated mates is honestly such a breath of fresh air amongst the sea of contents about omegas and alphas being stuck with each other whether they want or not because omegaverse mechanics...

I love it when stories intentionally break a trope, so yeah, I wish there were more stories where the "fated mates" aren't endgame

OMG THANK YOU. Everyone is calling him a green flag and he's so toxic. A lot of these readers don't realize he's a perfect example of infatuation and projecting unrealistic expectations on the MC. Just because he's puppy like they ignore so many problematic things he does. Him and black hair are perfect examples of different types of misogyny.

IKR!!!! The white hair is is slightly *more* toxic than "Usagi" from "Junjo Romantica", but somehow he's supposed to be a green flag while Junjo Romantica is seen as so problematic that the internet doesn't even allow you to like it for the nostalgia??? ...yeah no....

I was shocked no one picked up on him completely centering himself during the attempted r*pe incident?? Like the MC was the one who went through a traumatic incident and is the VICTIM and he had to comfort white hair because he couldn't rein in his emotions (his feelings were valid, but letting himself get overwhelmed when he should have been comforting the MC is unacceptable). Then white hair continued centering himself by claiming the whole incident wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for him calling out the MC??? which makes no sense because the criminals had personal beef with the MC, white hair has zero involvement in it, so the statement is simply untrue. But, it's also extremely problematic because it removes responsibility from the actual criminals. They attacked the MC because they are predators and r*pists. They are criminals, that's it, plain and simple. White hair focusing only on his feelings in that moment and his role as 'protector' is literally textbook misogyny and a perfect example of him projecting his unrealistic expectations onto the MC. He was so caught up in his own worries and not being able to protect the MC, that he neglected to provide comfort for the MC, made the MC uncomfortable and even had the MC comfort him. And then these commenters are shocked that the MC doesn't want to jump into a relationship with a guy who used his attempted r*pe as emotional manipulation (heck, even if the guy didn't handle it so poorly, most people wouldn't jump into a relationship after an incident like that). -.-

I don't see where people get the idea that he's nice?? He speaks flowery but his actions is him constantly crossing every single boundary the MC sets and never considering the MC's feelings. Like day 2, he refuses to give the MC space, badgers the MC to come to his place to 'talk' (despite the MC being tired, sore, and in emotional and mental turmoil from his situation), immediately dips out and makes him wait to run to the office??? which shows him not respecting the MC's time or opinion because the MC only agreed to stay for a little bit and stated numerous times he had to get to work. Blabbed to people about being fated mates knowing the MC wasn't comfortable with it (like man didn't even wait a day), left hickeys in multiple visible places, tries to pressure him into a relationship and ignores the MC's words and wants multiple times, etc. And that's only day 2 -.- He didn't even give the MC a single day to be alone with his thoughts and adjust to his situation, after changing, the MC clearly was in a super fragile mental state when they went to the hospital and got his diagnosis and low key looked s*icidal and white hair couldn't shut up for 2 secs about his delusions of them dating.

Also, to further clarify why what white hair said is problematic, is because it focuses on the MC's/victim's actions during the incident and not the perpetrators. Implying the incident only happened because white hair invited the MC out, whether he meant to or not places, blame on the victim and their actions (it's also just problematic to somehow imply that an incident completely unrelated to you, is somehow all your doing and completely removes autonomy from the MC (to summarize implying the MC's fate is not his own but yours is rude)). The MC wasn't attacked because he happened to run into them or because it was the wrong time or place. He got attacked because these are evil, manipulative men; who targeted him. While I don't think white hair meant anything malicious by it, this was a good example of unconscious internalized misogyny. Regardless of the MC's actions those men would have attacked the MC on a different day or would have settled for another victim. Policing the MC's actions or implying there was a way that the MC could have avoided the incident is a form a perpetuating r*pe culture, because it places the blame and the responsibility of the incident on the victim and not the perpetrator (it's the 'what did you do to avoid it' excuse). White hair shouldn't have focused on the MC avoiding the men or his role of protecting the MC but the fact that their society makes it acceptable for these men to feel comfortable committing such crimes. All responsibility, fault and blame falls only on the perpetrators. They are criminals who committed a crime, the only thing that should be changed are their actions and twisted personalities. It's clear that subconsciously white hair thinks the MC needs to careful and protected because he's an omega and that he needs to change his lifestyle and actions to suit that of an omega lifestyle. And despite being critical of his father and brother shows a clear bias towards alphas (heck even the relationship he's projecting onto the MC follows traditional alpha omega norms). Treating the MC like a glass doll because he's an omega and doing it against the MC's wants or feelings is also a form of misogyny (yes he's weak now because he's currently unstable, but the dude is built and physically capable. white hair constantly implying otherwise hurts the MC's pride and self esteem).
