I do agree with you but im kinda still salty on the fact that shes pushing it all on seth which ofc is valid but its not ljke the bars of the jail were locked or smth. She couldve left easily when anubis was physically abused infront of her and maybe come between them to shield him but she didnt. Also she too was a neglectful mother to anubis and its just now that I see her extreme reaction regarding hjm becoming god of death. Before this her indifference regarding everything was really sus. Yes she's a victim of extreme domestic violence but she still failed anubis in her own ways too I feel lkke and unlike seth or isis we haven't seen her character development properly. Isis was a better parent to anubis more than seth n nephyths lol in my opinion
Half of her was trapped in mirror and dw im not glazing seth nor saying shes wrong or that I hate her. Shes very justified in everything. Just that I feel that she too in her own ways somehwere failed anubis. I mean the part outside couldve left the jail easily cuz its not locked anyway but she didnt which i ofc know is not because she didnt want to but ehhh I find neph sus a bit. She was about to reveal something but held herself back and there has been repeated hints abt her being osiris complice [maybe unwillingly] even before neing locked in mirror. It feels to me as if she knows things shes not letting us know yet
Hmmm ykw you're right in being suspicious when all the details have not been revealed so we don't know if she didn't have like even slight control on her body or not. What my interpretation was that her complete conscience was trapped in the mirror and the body in the jail was actually fake or like completely understand Osiris' control so that's why she didn't do anything but ofc I could be wrong
I agree, that's why I'm saying "motherhood" (not Nephthys herself) is what's being vindicated. Nephthys herself still has A LOT of work to do (and I think she acknowleged some of that, when she said she'll need to spend the rest of her life atoning). But she finally said the one thing I had been CRYING to hear in this story: that only a "lobotomized" mother would agree to keep playing house with some d**head dude after she'd known him to inflict that kind of abuse on her child... (any other woman who chooses d** over their child's wellbeing no longer deserves the "mother" title)
That part of her wasn't just trapped, it was also *replaced* with a fake (to be explicit: it was replaced with fake memories of loving Osiris). This indirectly weakened her godly powers by making her commit infidelity. Committing infidelity weakened her godly powers because her godly power was to maintain peace, whereas cheating required actions that damaged the peace, like deceiving, lying, and keeping secrets, etc. Moreover, cheating while knowing that this ifidelity would provoke strife was also damaging for her powers because it was as if she was knowingly going against peace, given how she knew perfectly well that infidelity and peace are mutually exclusive, since infidelity can cause internal conflict.

Nephthys, you finally called Seth out on that awful shit he did in chapter 5, I'm so happy. I spent years calling you the worst mother in existence, and now both you and the author have finally put that topic to rest, giving it proper resolution and closure. I'm so happy I could cry... Motherhood is FINALLY vindicated. Kudos to all good mama bears in the world, who strive to look after their kids! Mamas are HOLY!
