Well, in his perspective, his King confessed to him that he loves him and in return he opened up himself too but didn’t know that mc heard wrong. Imagine opening yourself ip for the first time and voicing it towards that person then suddenly they get this heart broken on their expression which doesn’t make sense because wasn’t it mutual? Then that King left after that and never returned (played) for god knows how LONG to the point that they thought he abandoned them.
Not that Im siding with anyone, I just wanted to put that into perspective the ML has a lot of faults too, and I mean A LOT. Idk why he’s feeling so betrayed when he had killed MC before 2-3 times already
No like I get that part cause I would have also been heated if the king showed up again
I guess it's the immediate sex scenes that just threw me off. I feel it would have made more sense if the ml had ignored him and acted cold but idk
but maybe the adaptation is trying to focus more on the romance like the other people said ( -_・)? Loved the details with the wings though

Can I just be honest and say that I really like the premise of this but I'm still kinda iffy on their relationship with each other likeeeee....ml was acting like mc killed him three times over with the way he was treating him
Or maybe because his character is really stoic here, not a lot of feeling is being communicated
Don't get me wrong I love what could be for them from now on! Hopefully we just get a good partnership (power wise and also in the romantic sense)
