Even if they love you it's still toxic...if you listen everyday that you useless you might believe it and autosabotage you self , as someone who experienced something similar with my mom I can tell you is better to go far from your family for your own mental health.
Why seunghyun problem hits too close to home as a person living in asian household and experiencing EXACTLY the same issue (always been told that im useless) but at the same time they do still love me in some way, its shocking how the author can make such detailed and complex parental issue like this
